Shipman is an experienced business executive and entrepreneur who has built a 30-year proven track record of business success who collaborates with Oak Capital Advisors in his role as an Advisor and Business Broker at a leading commercial real estate company in Raleigh, North Carolina. He understands the commercial real estate market’s complexity from many different angles. His broad market perspective includes owning and operating three businesses, business development and consulting, sales and marketing, business brokerage, and significant profit and loss management as a VP in a Fortune 500 Company.
Shipman began his career in a family-owned and operated business that instilled a strong work ethic and taught him to focus on client service and success. From there he joined Car Quest Auto Parts, entering a corporate environment where he was able to serve clients across all 50 states. Responsible for new market development and for building a North American Division, Shipman assisted in adding the largest single account ever added to the brand and growing the corporation from a $280 Million business into a $3 Billion business that was ultimately acquired by a Fortune 500 Company. With Oak Capital Advisors, Shipman will actively support business brokerage and associated real estate transactions.
Shipman’s sphere of influence expands beyond the real estate world and into the community at large. Shipman and his family have resided in the Wake Forest area for over 20 years. He belongs to the Rotary Club of Wake Forest and enjoys actively supporting youth sports and participating in community events.
